HighlightStats facts
Last updated October 23, 2026.
HighlightStats is software for college football communications offices. It makes animated stat graphics, finds and drafts story ideas, and runs a live game-day desk that turns big plays into post-ready social graphics, all built from each game’s play-by-play and checked against the box score.
Who makes it
Pixel96 LLC. The product is at highlightstats.app; this site is highlightstats.com. Contact: support@highlightstats.app.
Who it’s for
Sports information directors, athletic communications staff, social media and creative teams, and their broadcast and video board partners, at college football programs.
What it covers
College football, FBS and FCS. Other sports and levels are not covered.
The three products
- Studio: pick a player and a stat (big plays, touchdowns, deep shots, returns, third downs, red zone, defense, field goals or a game recap) and every play is drawn on a 3D field from its real spot, in the school’s colors, with four camera angles.
- Story Discovery: up to five stories per game or season (standout games, season highs, streaks, team leaders, players on the rise, comebacks, defense and special teams), ranked by newsworthiness, with a headline, summary, caption and recap drafted.
- Live: a game-day desk with pregame posts, then touchdowns, field goals, big plays, sacks, interceptions, fumble recoveries and milestones as post-ready cards, an approval step, a video board queue and correction cards when a call changes.
What it makes
- 1080p MP4 video (15 seconds at normal speed) and stills.
- 16:9 (1920×1080), 4:5 (1080×1350) and 9:16 (1080×1920) versions, with captions and the school’s hashtags.
- Posts for X, Instagram feed and Story, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, the video board and broadcast partners.
How the numbers are checked
- Graphics are built from each game’s play-by-play, and their totals are checked against the box score.
- AI-written copy is rejected if it contains a number that isn’t in the stats.
- Live statistics are unofficial until the game is final. HighlightStats’ numbers are not official association, conference or school statistics.
What it is not
- Not a betting, odds, win-probability or fantasy product.
- Not an auto-poster: a person approves every post, and staff share from their own phone or computer.
- Not stat-keeping software: it works from each game’s play-by-play and box score, and at home games it can use the school’s stat crew feed.
Accounts
Each school has its own private account with its colors, logo, stadium and roster photos. Admins invite staff as admins or members. Optional two-step sign-in is available.
